I tried playing with photocopies of fresh flowers and bugs to trial shapes and layouts for my neck piece. I feel like they will translate into 3D fabric flowers even better.

Fresh flower experimentation
As a part of my neck piece project I have played about with natural flowers from them being in full bloom until they are dying and decaying. That is my main aim for my neck piece; to portray the circle of life through plants.
Here are some of my photos of me experiments.
Survey on Photoshopping used in fashion
As a part of my degree I need to write a report on something I am interested in. I have chosen to write about the effect of Photoshopping on the fashion industry and the general public. To do this I need as much information and a varied source of opinions so I have created an online survey which won't take very long (it's only 10 questions long). Thank you to anybody that takes part.

Fabric fish
One of my last projects was to create a fabric embroidered fish. Were we asked to use hand and machine embroidery to create this. I used a mixture of digital transfered prints that I created on photoshop to make some of the scales and embroidered them using the machine. I also used bullion knots, satin stitch and water soluble fabric for the rest of it. I quite enjoyed being able to try out the techniques to create a 3D product.
spoon mad.
Jewelera
I found an amazing artist on Pinterest while I was searching for neck piece research who makes very delicate butterfly jewellery. This is an element that I would like to bring into my neck piece along with the natural process of life to death through bugs and butterflies.

Florals
My most recent project brief was to make a neck piece with a floral theme. While I was searching for research I found these gorgeous fresh flower necklaces that were made for a wedding. I thought they could be translated into fabric relatively easily and I find my style for this type of thing is quite realistic. I have used these as some of my main inspiration.
